I’m having a terrible time staying up with much of any of my reading and thinking. I finally got to the Mars Helicopter article. How cool!
It’s also fascinating how emotionally attached many of us are to things like the helicopter and other such pieces of machinery. I don’t find it surprising, but fascinating. I think in some ways there’s a feeling of gratitude to the object that it allowed us to extend our view of our world in ways we couldn’t without its help.
I remember watching a pbs special on the Voyager project, and found myself nearly in tears along with the people involved at times.
