I am exploring alternative ways of adding a smoky flavor to the baba ganoush. One idea is to use lapsang souchang tea. I didn’t have some so I had to order it and today I went with another idea instead, that of adding chipotle peppers. I added three small ones from a can (freezing the rest) and we quite liked the resulting spicy flavor added to the baba ganoush as well.
