I saw a sign like that but whoever handled the sign had made a nice black line between the sections, using electrical tape.

I haven’t made the effort to verify, but I think a photo from the right angle at a local church would align the “Reserved for Associate Pastor” parking space sign with the cross out front.

I was sitting in my car with the sunroof open, waiting for my granddaughter to get out of schoo, and heard the characteristic trilling of sandhill cranes. Whipped out the phone and caught a pic or two in high flight. Way up there, this is 25x on my iPhone. Headed your way, my Northern friends!

Wonderful sky tonight – I could look up at Jupiter, see Mars off to the east, and Venus bright in the west in my peripheral vision!

Ooooh! I’ve never seen them in a large group like this! Mostly flying in pairs or trios.
Can’t wait 'til they get here. They’re awesome birds.

Seems like they migrate in groups of 50-100 it seems as they come through. I’ve never seen them land around this area, as no real grain fields, but growing up near Lubbock, they would land and feed on previously harvested grain sorghum fields by the hundreds in the fall on their way south.

I’ve read about that; she explains it well.
I had a professor who thought they should have defined the meter with an even 300,000,000 instead of 299,792,458 – a sharp student objected that since the second was a totally arbitrary unit, what difference would it make? and of course the professor said . . . simplicity.
