Well, I guess they did!
Yeah, well, compared to the Aardvarks, I guess Zebras are a pretty chill lot. Good thing for them that the boat was a big one though!
Okay - I know this has probably been posted before, but … y’all know how that works.
And if the one who joined them shows up now, that would also fit with high heat, under a relatively literal interpretation of Revelation, that is.
I want to be with them.
In the hot furnace?
In the hot furnace?
If one believes that the son of man figure in the Daniel story is the pre-incarnate Son, some might be willing to get a bit smokey for the honour of getting close to him. I suspect that is what @Dale might be driving at.
Yes, that was also my understanding. Yet, it was a tempting possibility to add spices to the soup.
I hope that we will meet Jesus one day and I hope that it will happen somewhere else than a hot furnace.
A hot furnace is something that people might associate with hell, especially if they have the common unbiblical image of hell.
Even if we would associate the furnace to the story in the book of Daniel, it might demand some faith to stand in the fire. Remembers me of the story when Peter wanted to walk on water and Jesus responded by saying ‘come’. Everything went first well but when Peter started to look at the external conditions, hard wind and waves, instead of Jesus, he started to sink. That kind of situation might be problematic if you are surrounded by hot flames. Grilled Peter (or me or @Dale or someone else) instead of a wet Peter - sorry for the dark humor, Saint Peter.
the honour of getting close to him.
Not so much. The joy.
Celebrating the first landing on the moon’s south pole!
Is there a double entendre there that maybe I shouldn’t be liking?
I never had any idea that WLC had a sense of humor like that! Awesome!
Of course, what with the internet and all, not sure he really said it, but i like to think he did.
Omg @Mervin_Bitikofer … hahahahaha! That made my day.
Cooling off?
