Sorry. Detroit Institute of Arts. There is a huge special exhibit of Van Gogh’s works there right now for a few more weeks. The painting you shared is on loan from the musee d’Orsay. It’s gorgeous. Well the whole exhibit was stunning.

Thank you. I live in Connecticut but love the great NYC museums best. I haven’t been able to go into the city since my stroke. I’m hoping I can recover and go back!!! Would love to lead a tour for you guys!

And when next you are in southern Michigan, let’s take a field trip to the DIA, the Toledo Museum of Art, particularly the Glass Pavillion, and the Grand Rapids Art Museum….and if we can fit it in, the Broad at MSU. Oh, what fun!

What would you like to know? I’ve only been to a fraction of the museums in NYC. The ones I’ve been to are so large it’s mind-boggling and exhausting. I’m thinking of visiting more local museums while I recover. Haven’t even visited the little museum in my own home town! We go back to colonial times.

For those less familiar with nuclear physics, the instant hydrogen is just a neutron, which has a mean lifetime of about 15 minutes, and will decay into a proton, an electron and an antineutrino. The proton will then grab an electron.

The dinos on the ark wore sweaters because the weather could be nippy.

My favorite piece of art is actually in my church. It’s the immense carved stone reredos, or altar screen. It has many carved images of Christ, Mary, the Apostles, etc. It’s like the “cloud of witnesses”

Always. As an old STOS fan, there is no way for my brain to not go there. Interestingly, my mom had a copy of Dr. Spock’s book, as did many mothers of the early 60s.

Looks like you turned out OK. While Dr. Spock’s politics got a lot of criticism, his child care book was actually quite good.
