Humor in Science and Theology

Okay - I know y’all were asking Laura here, but I can’t restrain myself any longer and I’m feeling a bit smug that I may have gotten these by myself (though I’m not entirely sure on the Yoda one).

For the bottom one … you recognize the creature as a tardigrade, right?
And there isn’t much in terms of sweet spreads that rhymes with that … except …

marmalade

Regarding the top one, my only thought was that there is a Greek letter that rhymes with the green personage featured (whom I presume you know - if you are cognizant of Star Wars universe). But … the symbol behind him doesn’t really match that … so … @Laura … I might need to take a number and get in line for one of your hints on that one.

Aaaaaaha! And after a consult with my wife, I’m now informed that what’s behind the Jedi master in the top pic is actually a musical symbol! So that makes it … Yoda on a Coda
