How much of Evolution is shaped by history vs underlying constraints?

The current version you linked was authored by F. Rana and Hugh Ross. Seems a small number of contributors. The article wasn’t anonymously peer-reviewed for publication in a journal. It wasn’t peer-reviewed at all, as far as I can tell.

The current version may have Fuz Rana and Hugh Ross’s names on it, but…

Fuz Rana is the main author because he is the CEO and managed the project administration.

t made more sense to use a group name that encompasses everyone. I also prefer not tio have my name associated for privacy reasons. In hindsight, it’s probably more accurate to say that we drafted the paper instead of wrote it, given how collaborative this project was.

3. The ‘authors’ names are annotated “on behalf of the Reasons to Believe Scholars Community”

4. The downloadable files have had various author names in the document properties, including “Meer Kat”, but not either Fuz Rana or Hugh Ross.

5. Meerkat has previously asked about the possibility and ethics of sending articles to journals under some-one else’s name.

5. Meerkat was blathering on about his universal design theory incorporating Owen’s archetypes, virus origins and collapsing wave functions for several years before the first version of this was uploaded to OSF.

So despite the paper’s attribution, it’s likely that RTBsupporter aka Meerkat bears far more responsibility for the paper’s contents than either Fuz Rana or Hugh Ross.
