Christians believe he has revealed himself through scripture (that requires some humility on our part – we cannot tell him how he must do it) and through nature (our humility is required there, too).

The heavens declare the glory of God,
    and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours out speech,
    and night to night reveals knowledge.
 
Psalm 19:1-2

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
