Greek Concepts--"nous"

Paul also said he his message wasn’t wise and persuasive words, but a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that his listeners’ faith wouldn’t rest on human wisdom, (i.e. arguments that make a lot of sense), but God’s power. So I think we need to keep that in mind. The basis of faith always has to be encountering the power of God in Jesus crucified, resurrected, and exalted. We can’t build our faith on an argument about Jesus or evidence for the crucifixion, resurrection, and exaltation of Jesus, or the historical accuracy of the gospel accounts, or the faithful transmission of the texts that make the Scriptures.
