You are aware that Egyptians were building sundials that divided the day into 12 equal size units of time are you not? If the units are not time, even if they didn’t have a word for it, what are the units for? I know, 12 changes during the day right? Egyptian priests had divided the day and night into 24 units as far back as 2100 BC.
