Can you explain what the problem is that you perceive with the explanatory filter? A database of human designs does nothing to invalidate the mathatical conclusion of the filter, so I am not understanding what you think the problem is. If the filter gives us a positive number using the database of human designs, it has detected design, no matter where the artifact under consideration occurs.

If your GMO example is detecting design in a way more impressive than this, please spell it out. Because so far, it really does seem this anemic.

Yes, it is that anemic. Nothing very fancy about the explanatory filter besides that it works.
If that is all you mean by the explanatory filter, then sure, it’s used in science, completely uncontroversial and not in any way the brainchild of Dembski or anyone else alive this century.
It can also tell us nothing about whether various organisms or parts of organisms are designed by an intelligence who hasn’t given us a database of their designs. (Or, conversely, if we assume that life itself is the database, then since the sequences of every creature are within this database, it will tell us what we have assumed: that every creature is designed.)

Well, the database can be more general than just straight DNA sequences. E.g. a bunch of terms for describing humam inventions, such as outboard motor or digital code. So it’s a bit more than the gmo example. The gmo is just a simple example of a concrete, faithful implementation of the filter applied to biology that we can easily dissect and understand.
And no, we cannot just snag all the DNA of animals around us for our dictionary as that will violate the detachability requirement.
Make sure to include “grey.” Lots of human inventions are grey.

Yes and No, we address God as Father in heaven, because Jesus Christ revealed that to us. We know what a father is. We all have fathers. Many of us are fathers. God shows us how God Works as the Father . Jesus shows us how He works as the Savior.
The Holy Spirit shows us how she works as love3, joy, and peace. God relates to us as Father, Savior, and Love, which makes Life worth living. That is a fact.
God has revealed to us through science that God created the universe out of nothing through Big Bang That is clear, but we cannot begin to explain how anyone could create mass, energy, time, and space out of nothing.
We can see that God shaped our earth and its flora and fauna over billions of years. We can see what God has done. We have explanations of how it happened. We don’t know why it happened except God tells us why. This is the real mystery.
We have thee levels of meaning , the physical- scientific, the rational- philosophical, and the spiritual- theological. The are all essential to us a humans beings, physical, mental, and spiritual persons. .
