Can evolution generate new information? (New Common Questions page)

Common Questions pages do not have official comment sections, but I wanted to draw everyone’s attention to this new resource and open it up for discussion.

This new article (written primarily by @jstump) directly addresses some recent discussions on how human analogies break down when talking about DNA and evolution.

Thanks, Brad!

This is my first encounter with @jstump’s parable of the Sower! That’s quite good!

". . . we have a clear record of how God did act through natural history. What we see there is consistent with Jesus’s description in the Parable of the Sower, where the Sower lavishly distributes seeds. Some seed never took root at all, some sprang up quickly but didn’t last long because it fell on rocky ground, and other seed was out-competed by thorns. But some found fertile soil and produced the plants the farmer intended (see NT Wright’s commentary connecting creation to the Parable of the Sower). "
