Can a Scientist Believe in the Resurrection? (Part 1)

@T_aquaticus

Don’t forget… after he “went up” … Muhammed came back down, and would later die a normal death like all Prophets who claim to be mortals, not gods…

Over 500 eyewitnesses saw Jesus alive and well after the Crucifixion event (1 Cor 15:6). That is strong direct evidence, at Law, that Jesus survived the events of that fateful Friday.

Conversely, no human eyes witnessed any regeneration or resurrection of the body in the tomb. Thus, there is no evidence, at Law, for that regeneration & resurrection.

“Resurrection” is an inference based on the available evidence. Eyewitnesses saw Jesus alive & surrendered to Pilate on Friday, and saw Jesus still alive on Sunday. Strong direct evidence that he was alive on Friday, and still alive on Sunday.

“Resurrection” is one possible interpretation of & inference from that evidence. One way of connecting “alive Friday” to “still alive Sunday”.
