That is an interesting emotional viewpoint.

I have heard another viewpoint: the sacrifice of Jesus opened the access to the Holy of Holies. Before the event, only the high priest could enter behind the curtain, once a year with the blood of a sacrifice for the people. After Jesus sacrificed himself, all his followers have access to the Holy of Holies (presence of God) as the blood of the heavenly Lamb (Jesus) covers our sins.
