I like the remarks by one writer that, when someone in that culture expressed extreme grief, he tore his robes. But the tear had only to be five or six inches in length to express sorrow…in other words, you did not need to ruin the whole garment. Nevertheless, when it came to God’s tearing of the curtain to the Holy of Holies, His grief at the murder of His Son was so extreme that He tore the whole curtain.

Really like this explanation of God’s extreme grief for the tearing of the curtain.

Taken at face value, the passage is both certain and exclusive, but:

Any belief in the Trinity makes it a truism, not exclusive. It only becomes a problem if you separate Jesus from God.

I think the trinitarian doctrine is far more than just a truism.

Christianity alone provides access to God.

A very intertesting observation. Ironic that Judaism appears to have cut themselves off from access to Yahweh by denying Christ.

That is an interesting emotional viewpoint.

I have heard another viewpoint: the sacrifice of Jesus opened the access to the Holy of Holies. Before the event, only the high priest could enter behind the curtain, once a year with the blood of a sacrifice for the people. After Jesus sacrificed himself, all his followers have access to the Holy of Holies (presence of God) as the blood of the heavenly Lamb (Jesus) covers our sins.
