So Ken Ham has been having a meltdown lately over Newt Gingrich claiming on Twitter (I think) that birds are dinosaurs. Strangely, YECs have no issue with cattle are Artiodactyls, or that dogs are carnivorans, but for some reason, they continue to deny, despite the preponderance of evidence that birds are dinosaurs. Why do they do this?
I think you’re comparing apples to oranges – YECs would not call birds dinosaurs because that implies common descent in a way that other classification terms don’t.
