We have to find a balance between maintaining the importance of humanity in God's creation without pretending the universe revolves around us.

I believe C.S. Lewis had the best notion of where humans are in the scheme of things, as he put it in his “Space Trilogy”: “Out of the Silent Planet”, “Perelandra”, “That Hideous Strength”
In this work, it is humans who are fallen and the alien species of Mars and Venus that live in the grace of God.
