Hi Tim,
I don’t see how it’s evidence for or against evolution. It could be, if the mechanism makes no sense evolutionarily. I would predict that there would be large mechanistic differences between the opah’s warm-bloodedness and ours.
I do know that opah is very tasty…
I’ve never tried Opah before, but it does sound good.
I guess the reason I asked what people thought about it is that it would almost seem that “cold blooded ness” is halfway a definition of a fish. But then this surprising find comes along.
Then again the fish in Mariana’s Trench was certainly a surprise.
