According to Scientific American, Simon Armitage was commissioned to write the poem “Ark” to commemorate the 9/19 naming of a new polar research ship, the RSS Sir David Attenborough.
The poem makes clear allusions to the biblical tale of the ark, and we can see its relevance to creation care. I think it’s cool that Scientific American published this. (Don’t worry, the poem is short and easy to understand.) Read Ark

Thanks for sharing. It’s nice to see science and literature come together, and also nice to see that there’s nothing threatening about ark references – no particular organization has a corner on them.
