For me the gospels are pretty realible to say the least. I was wondering what is the earliest page who have from them troughout history and what dating it indicates? And are a stumbling block for you that any earlier manuscripts havent been found yet?
I believe that would be Papyrus P52 which is dated to sometime in the second century.
Given papyrus doesn’t survive very well that would be a no for me. I find the large number of widely distributed fragments found is a better sign of the importance of the texts.
