Old-earth Creation Geology Resources

I am new to the BioLogos Forum, and this is my first post.

Almost one year after the start of my 35-year petroleum geology career, I was led to faith in Christ by a coworker in the office. I never accepted young-earth and flood geology models, but that’s all I encountered in my Christian community. I quickly learned to avoid that debate “to keep the peace”. Interestingly, I always had open and respectful discussions about faith and geology at work.

The only resource on Old-Earth Creation Geology that I found useful during this time was “Christianity and the Age of the Earth” by Davis A. Young, published in 1982. And recently I found it’s updated version, “The Bible, Rocks, and Time” by Young and Ralph Stearley.

My heart’s desire is to present old-earth creation to church-goers, bible study-attendees, and friends and relatives. I am looking for materials, methods, and experiences to help guide this.

I look forward to input and dialogue that leads us to share the truth about Jesus, because “all things were created through Him and for Him” (Col 1:16).
