I really like the first one. The high flying Jay. The reindeer one was also really cool though. A while back, like a year ago, I came across a really cool science journal paper I think that had lots of great photos. The pictures were of caterpillars blown up to such a large size that the people were studying their scars to determine what kind of predator left them. They could ID the insect predators by the type of attack and scar. Which is just really cool to me.
Identifying caterpillar predators by caterpillar scars is certainly a unique skill set not featured on any forensic dramas.
