Darwin’s Theory is the foundation of the science of evolution, but it is also used as a foundation of extremist ideology. I recall the experience of reading propaganda from the old USSR when they claimed that Communism was superior to Christianity because it was “scientific” Part of this was because they accepted evolution while Creationists did not, but also because “Darwinian struggle” is much more like “class struggle” than Christian love.
Racism is not good science. There is no scientific basis for saying that a race is a species or one race is superior to another. We are all one blood, one DNA. However survival of the fittest is not about conflict between species, but for survival with in the species.
What I am talking about here is not race, but the tactic of unrelenting struggle for limited resources of Darwinian survival of the fittest. Survival of a group is not based on conflict, but people working together as a team. This is not based on good science and gives bigots an excuse segregate and even kill others thinking that they are following the laws of nature and science.
