I just saw this nice detailed write up on Cathy Duffy for Classic Science Curriculum.
Looks like it might be an option for those looking for a more traditional textbook/lab based curriculum (without YEC content) that is designed to be taught by homeschoolers. It was developed by a high school science teacher after he spent a year working with homeschooled kids.
We used part of the free life science curriculum a couple of years ago. It was presented in a nice order with age appropriate questions to follow up the reading. It is a nice resource for homeschoolers and you can't beat the price to try it out.
