I just discovered this list of experiment ideas from the Van Andel Institute for Education. I’m totally going to make plasma in the microwave later with the kids!
I found this idea and thought it fitting for the forum!
Maybe too late, but I have seen warning that the plasma from a grape experiment can destroy your microwave, so be careful, or use an old microwave!
Huh! Good to know. Ours seems to be working still after the experiment (it was pretty cool, BTW), but we won’t repeat it. Thanks.
