Has evidence for the very day the asteroid hit been found? This event wiped out the non-avian dinosaurs, and many other critters. It also cleared the way for our furry little mammal ancestors, to get bigger, diversify, and eventually become us.
I watched both hours on the link. It was interesting seeing these guys so excited when their hard work and research paid off. And you can see the results put together by computer animation people into clips of the animals and events of the day they have reconstructed.
