Carnivore into herbivore

I could obviously be wrong but I was not seeing anything from googling to contradict it. But it seems like there are not any animals that evolved from being a herbivorous species but into a carnivorous species. We still have species that never seemed to have diverged from being herbivorous.

But why is it that it seems that being carnivorous is a advantage for some species over being herbivorous and never the other way around or do they simply just remain omnivores and use both.

On that note of enjoying the smells of meat what’s the implications of Leviticus 1:9 about the sacrifices smelling pleasing to God?

In tetrapods carnivory - piscivory - came first.
