Anyone can send a PM by clicking on the avatar of the person you want to message and hitting the “message” button. That opens a post window, but it works like an email. The only people who see it are the people you invite to the message. (Moderators have access to PMs if we go looking for them in the system, but we don’t read them unless someone tells us they are being harassed or something.) You can also click on your own avatar in the upper right corner of the screen and click on the envelope icon to access something like an inbox and see all your sent and received messages.

@Burgardless, that’s fine–you can also post this publically if you want to share your interesting background; but PM is great too. Nice to meet you; it’s amazing to find out where we all come from and are going. In Africa where my parents were missionaries, the SIM (Serving in Mission/ Sudan Interior Mission) was majority from non American background–Anglicans, Presbyterians, Catholics, mostly evangelicals; lots of Aussies, Kiwis, Liberians, Nigerians are currently there too–so I enjoyed the Anglican element quite a bit.
